Join Me On The Bridge 2021 Despite the inclement weather Soroptimists, community members and visitors from Perth, all enjoyed the annual JMOB event. SIWA members – spot our President Elect Rosemary in the crowd. Members appreciated your participation again. We had apologies from several members who were unable to attend due to work commitments and health appointments. Most of us adjourned to a local restaurant for lunch and lots of talking, networking, and getting to know possible new members. Trish reminded us of the 2021 theme “Choose to Challenge” and we contributed via personal messages on sticky notes. We also had some cut outs with the meaning of the word peace in many languages. Thank you to Trish, Carol and Rhonda for your preparation. Thank you to the local media for your input prior to the event and on the day.

SI Fremantle enjoyed their first get together for 2021 by having a Sunset Picnic by the river at East Fremantle. 22 members and Soroptimisters and friends met and shared a meal at dusk, the weather was delightful with a light sea breeze. Gordon cooked Sausages for the buns and members brought a wonderful selection of salads and sweets. There was lots of interaction and catch-up discussions as we had not seen each other since mid December. We also had two prospective members Gail and Claire who we will be inducting to membership at our AGM meeting in February. A big hello to Jane SI Canterbury who visited and shared a meal with us in January 2020 at the same riverside venue. Thanks to Annie for the photos and notes
