Goods for Gascoyne

A very big thank you to all of our members especially from the metropolitan clubs, ( you should be aware that the country clubs also contributed locally and sent parcel to SI Carnarvon for distribution).

Our garage resemble a ‘Steptoe’ yard for a few days, however Gordon got the boxes and packed each one by hand taking care to keep like items together and not mix everything up. Needless to say I kept a low profile and really only helped with the sticky tape & labels.

The response was instant and almost overwhelming with 2o large boxes being prepared and shipped to SI Carnarvon for distribution in a matter of two weeks.

Thanks also to Dorothy Hagget SI Canning Districts who did the negotiations to get the sponsored transportation of the goods through Centurion Transport. Dorothy’s husband Terry came with her to collect the boxes from us and quickly delivered them to the contractor for shipment to Nola Wakeham SI Carnarvon. They arrived on Friday afternoon.
